what is 12 postures?
« on: November 21, 2011, 03:42:05 pm »
I heard that there is a former pracitice which consists of 12 postures and also includes 8 part breathing, but it is not a strict    cycle and you can do them in free sequence, it's just important to do them all. What is the difference between this cycle and Joong ki dunboup postures and is it necessary to start from this cycle?

This is not Kouk Sun Do, this is Sun Dao. It's not a traditional Kouk Sun Do, it's a development of master Yu.

By the way, in the neighbor section master Kim had explained about Dao & Do, see http://forum.ksdo.ru/index.php/topic,11.msg35.html

12 exercises are the foundation of 30 sets of exercises. In each set 12 exercises are different.
They practice on the third stage of Kouk Sun Do's practice (which calls "Won Ki Dan Boub"), after passing of the first stage (Jung Ki Dan Boub, it includes two substages, each one consists 25 postures) and second stage (Keon Kon Dan Boub, 23 postures) of Kouk Sun Do.
In Kouk Sun Do everything is consistent.
