Joong-gi dunbup
« on: November 09, 2011, 01:58:39 PM »
Hi everybody!

It would be great to ask Master Kim Ki Young how to translate right the word Joong-gi and the word dunbup?
I'm trying to translate an article with Master Chung San interview and realize that it has very important meaning for right understanding the essence of this level.
Thank you in advance!

Joong-gi can be translated into middle ki(energy).  Joong-ki is a balanced state between yin and yang.  When our body is out of joong-ki, It is out of good health.  For example , the body with too much yin and little yang is rather cool and has a slow circulation and the body with too much yang and little yin is uncomfortably hot and quick-tempoed circulation. The balanced state is best for our body and mind. Danboub is composed of dan+boub.  Dan is an abreviated letter of danjeon.Boub is method(or law).  So, Danboub means the law of danjeon practice. Joong-ki danboub is very helpful for enhancing the balanced state of our body and mind ,  therefore , very important stage for increasing our physical and mental health. :)
